Mine acutally did the same thing with windows. I was de-fragmeting
the drive (basically reading and writing the entire drive) and I went
to bed. When I awoke I found the de-frag software angry, and the
archos USB icon on the computer. I think that what happened is
that the batteries got drained (yes it was plugged into the wall).
Here is my arm-chair theory. I have trickle charge turned on and
I don't think that the software will realize that the level of the
battery has come down far enough that it needs to kick in
the full blast charge. But again it's just a theory :)
