My turn to jump in here to just clarify a few points.

And we appreciate it :)

Its not 'resistance' in a negative way. Its just the will to not jump
from one stable base to another because of the sudden interest of one
individual.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt here, and went back overthe IRC logs.
If was _me_ that was speaking to you regarding the idea of usingt your
energies else where. I _never_ said "make the cursor flash".

Imagine how I feel when you make me sound like a condecending git to a
programmer wishing to give of their time!

<adi|work> and itch would be: "hmmm.. i want an inverted cursor ... how do
           i do that..."
...
<adi|work> or "oh.. we don't have chess... let me write that"
<adi|work> or if you _really_ wanna work ;)
<adi|work> help quelsaruk with the docs...

I understand where you are coming from. Yet you yourself say
<paraphrasing> "How can i find my way in the code w/o comments, docs or
reading the whole source?</paraphrase> Well, we have read the source, and
been living with it, breathing it and working with it (and some of us, the
swedish lads, from the very start). What about our observations of the
code?

You have not offended. Your experiance may be invaluable. But instead of
asking to rewrite things that are low priority, or are generally felt
would impact the rest of the code little, perhaps you could use your
engeries else where.

_that_ was my point. You don't have to work with the damn cursor if you
want. Read the feature request list, try and find something ther.

My 2 bits.

Rob
