If you read the FAQ you should know that feature requests should not go to
the mailling list, but should go through the feature tracker.

I read in the FAQ, that you guys want requests for some games that can
be played on the Player/Studio versions of the Jukebox. Here are
some:

1. Hangman. A text file in .rockbox can store all the names. Bottom
line would be the new virtual keyboard that's in rockbox. Top line
would be the word to be guessed. Couldn't the same tricks that are
used to create the WPS %pb Progress Bar "cup" be used to create a one
pixel hangman? The following hangman will fit in a 7x5 matrix:

 xxx
 xxx
  x
xxxxx
  x
 x x
x x

If this can't be done, then a simple number can be used instead.

2. Guess-a-number / high/low. OK, so it's a stupid game, but it's
easy to implement. :) Top line would be the current number guessed,
along with a "HI" "LO" to indicate if the last guess was high or low.
Bottom line might list number of guesses so far made, ect.

3. Wheel-of-fortune. Again, a test file can be used to store the
words.

4. Craps. The dice can be numeric, or generated via the WPS %pb
Progress Bar "cup" trick.

5. Concentration. Remember this memory game, where you have to match
the different patterns? The one character "tiles" would best be
generated via the WPS %pb Progress Bar "cup" trick, but could also be
implemented as alphanumeric only.

6. 21/Blackjack. Alphanumeric all the way. There are several ways to
implement this one, One would go with only numeric, adding up all the
cards, and just displaying one numerical value. The other would use
one character for each card-- 0-9,J,Q,K,A. Problems come up however,
in how to handle a split (or if to just not allow them at all.)
Logically, splits can be handled just like two separate (and
concurrent) hands played against the same dealer hand.

There are *many* other games that can be done on the Player/Studio!
If anyone is serious in implementing some Player/Studio games, I'll
put further thought into the UI/implementation.
