I was going to suggest that, but was led to believe that it could not
be done. Bravo!

Wouldn't you "rebuild" (from the latest info) the line, each time it
alternates? If so, couldn't the info be updated at the rebuild, then
buffered for the scrolling. This will not give truly "real-time"
updates, but would update at least every time that line alternates to
a new state. Hope I made that clear, I'm not a coder.
