hey,
this is cool and useful stuff !
but, as always, we see java is far away from "write once, run anywhere" :D
only seems to work with mozilla + jre1.4.1 for me - doesn`t
work with older netscape series and not with MS IE. (their java engines
don`t
contain java swing classes, you use them)
Your program is cool, no way - but to install fat mozilla and fat jre just
to
run a little program is no good way. I think, by providing native win32 and
linux binaries,
number of users will rise.....(but that will be a lot work for you, right? )

ps:
I liked the idea of java applets, but since I was involved developing an
applet which should run
inside every kind of browser i was disappointed very quickly.
I like java for it`s ease of use - but if I see all that big and
ressource-hungry java application server stuff......uuuurgh.... ok. please stop - I
don`t want to start a "java pro/con"-thread with this mail :)
