As Mike said, you set these settings once an then forget
about them. So its probably not necessary to put them in the settings menu,
at least not for us that hijack the F3 menu. But you are right they should
be in the
settings menu to keep things consistent.
I don't know what ideas there are for the 2.2 UI overhaul, but I have a
not the first one to consider configurable shortcuts for F2/F3. Having all
in the settings menu would make this easier.

So you scrapped the original functionality? One more reason to have the
scroll/status bar settings in the display menu, in order not to bury them.
