We could have the configure script detect the tools dir when > run, and then use that path passed on to the sub-Makefiles from the master > (top-level) makefile. Would that be satisfactory? The first check would then > be to see if the tools exist in the PATH already and then no directory at all > would be used to prefix the tools. Yes, I think this would be good! Additionally, when configure script is run, it could give a warning message that tools could be out of sync when not referenced and build from ../tools dir. So it`s up to the user, to decide - and it`s gonna be my job to supply updated tools in binary form for the Win32 SDK. I still don`t know exactly, how much gcc win32 compiler libs & stuff will "blow up" the SDK, but I think it is significantly. Maybe native win32 compiler parts will make it`s way into win32 SDK one day - but the changes in the configure/Makefiles wouldn`t hurt then.... regards roland -- +++ GMX - Mail, Messaging & more http://www.gmx.net +++ Bitte lächeln!
