That could be prone to problems, as some songs have numbers at the beginning anyway (10538 Overture by Electric Light Orchestra is one that comes to mind). As has been said several times, playlists give the functionality that people are looking for, without the time consuming hassle of reading an entire directory of mp3 files every time.
