Date: Thu, 24 Apr 2003 11:06:44 -0700 Hey guys.. I have been experiencing similar problems, except I would describe it as silent playing. The red light does come on and stay on for quite a while. However I can push "next track" and it will begin playing the next track after a little while (about the normal time for "next track"). These are the conditions when it usually happens to me. I have a small sporty car with a reasonably stiff suspention, not a kidney punisher like when I was younger, but reasonably stiff. Now IF I place my recorder on the passenger seat, it will do the "lock up" that I described above. With a reasonable amount of repeatability. I have been running on the daily builds for a long time (long before I noticed this problem). Rockbox has also been doing this for a long time. The thing that I noticed was that if I put it on the console between the seats it does not seem to have the problem (at least not NEARLY as much). So I think it is something to do with motion and maybe the HD not being able to read a track in enough time. Also the temperature does not seem to have a major effect. We are inside my car and it hasn't been that cold in Seattle for a while (lows in the 40's tops, um er bottoms). And the batteries are usually at a reasonably full charge as it is on the way home from work where I charge the Jukebox :) Here is the Skinny on my model.
