OK, good point. 8-)

I think I have found what the problem might be, but then it raises
another question : the first thing displayed when starting a playlist is
"Chargement..." which is 13-char long while I think the player's limit
is 11... Would this succeed, the player might eventually try to display
a 19-char "Mélange en cours..." if you run in shuffle mode!!!

The question that is raised at this point is : those two strings DO NOT
have a player version in the languqge file and therefore
1. Playlists should not be working in French players for long, at least
since April 15 which is the date of the oldest francais.lang file I
have in my files
2. Playlists should not be working in players running in shuffle mode
EVEN WITH the original English version since "Shuffling..." is 12-char
long in that file... (OK this is valid for plain version 2.0 only. I see
in the current english.lang file that "Shuffling..." is no longer
supposed to be displayed).

Can any player user confirm that ?
And for the design group : Is trimming non-scrolling messages to the
correct length feasible in the player-specific sections of Rockbox code
? I think player users would prefer an ugly message (until it is fixed)
on their screens rather than no function at all.

Cheers. Jean.
