It is based on the program DUSE from pocketech (download it here: http://www.pocketec.net/downloads/duse_4_2.zip). All you have to do is format a bootable floppy disk with DOS (under Windows 95 with FAT32 support or higher) and install the USB driver as explained in the manual that comes with it (it worked for me with the following line in config.sys : device=a:\duse\duse.exe nocd). Connect your jukebox to the computer with the USB-cable and put it on. Then boot your computer with this bootdisk. The jukebox is recognized and connected as an extra harddrive. You can no move files to and from the jukebox with the well known DOS commands (or other DOS file management programs) This way you can use your jukebox as an portable harddisk and connect it to every computer which has USB and a floppy drive without having to install the drivers (for example to exchange large files or because your computer runs with windows 95 without USB support (like mine at work)). -- BRENT - The Usenet typo king. :) Fast Times At Ridgemont High Info http://www.FastTimesAtRidgemontHigh.org Voted #87 - American Film Institute's Top 100 Funniest American FilmsReceived on 2003-04-29 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
