RE: Archos Battery Voltage issue? - It's not Rockbox....

Well, I gave it shot again, trying my JBR using the Archos OS, and while I
did get 6 hours of playing time, one more than with Rockbox, the problem
occured as usual. I received an e-mail from Archos today stating the same
probabl cause Michael stated about the batteries not charging fully and not
holding a charge. They told me to go out and try new batteries which I did.
I'm going to call them back in the morning and hope to get an RMA.
Bjorn, I tried your test firmware, but the problem persisted. It's just a
buggy battery charger in the JBR I guess and not a Rockbox issue after all.
Rockbox is probably just more sensitive to the problem as was stated. Thanks
for your help. Hopefully this will get resolved soon enough and I'll be back
to using a working JBR with rockbox.
Before I forget, Archos mentioned the following in their e-mail to me...

"Products purchased after
01/01/03 include a manufactures warranty of a period of 90 days from the
date of purchase."

Looks like they've changed their warranty which used to be for 30 days from
the date of purchase.

Thanks,
-Alan
