It worked!!!!

FYI - I had to change two files - bookmark.c and tree.c. Search for
status_draw(); and change it to status_draw(true);

You can download a recoder model of Rockbox 2.0 with the bookmarking patch
applied at:
www.samuraipanda.com/bookmarking-20.zip

It's still has a couple of issues (the biggest being 5K of stack space being
consumed) that I hope to get back to one of these days. That file also has
has the diff file you can apply yourself if you have a different model of
Archos. The Autobookmark feature is in that build.
