switch to literal paths in your play list, then it won't matter where the
playlist itself lives.
For fixing paths I use the search/replace feature found in text editors such
as JEdit, EditPlus, etc.

I am using relative pathnames. But this doesn't work well if I want to
move the playlists to a different folder relative to the mp3s.
