Subject: bookmark quirks

bookmark quirks

Since I installed the 2.0 version of the bookmarking on my AJBR20, I have
noticed some wierd things happening and just wanted to let ya know.

1: when i play a mp3 that has bookmarks, 90% of the time, it flashes the "do
you want to use a bookmark" screen and then just plays the mp3 from the
beginning without waiting for user input. So I end up having to play several
times before I get to choose to use the bookmark.(I have resorted to going
to the .rockbox directory and playing the bookmark file directly)

2: When stopping a mp3, when I choose to create a bookmark, the mp3 should
stop before creating the bookmark.. When I am fiddling around with the
buttons looking at the screen to choose create a bookmark, I am no longer
listening to the words, so lately I have been having to rewind after I play
a bookmark, because it continued to play while the bookmark was being
created and I missed what was being said.

3: the list bookmars and recent bookmarks on the menu do nothing unless you
are playing an MP3. I think it would be decent to be able to go to the
bookmarks thru those menu items in an idle state to get directly to the
bookmarks without having to navigate to the mp3 first.(I would guess it
would just have to play the bookmark file as I have been doing manually as
stated in number 1 above).

Awesome job. Everyone working on this project is fantastic and even though
there are quirks, there are workarounds and it is able to be used
successfully. I love the bookmarks and hopefully the bugs can be worked out
so it can get thrown into the main project as an included feature.

I also wouldnt mind seeing compiled versions of the other pathes that are
out there.. Sure with some big ole warnings about using at your own risk and
being beta and all that, but some of those patches look pretty cool(like
more games hehe).

Thansk y'all,
Chris
