Ah, I didn't know that, I thought "digital" and "optical" were
synonymous when it came to sound inputs / outputs. Now I see, so I need
a $20 converting device.

Is there any work on the Archos being able to rip like MiniDisc
players--recognizing song boundaries, even CD text, etc? Is that even
possible on the Archos?
