Beginner Help - Getting dumb as I get older

After waffling back and forth about whether or not to install Rockbox, I took the Archos on vacation to Disneyworld with the Archos firmware and found out that the playlists installed caused the Archos 20 Recorder to crash. I was also unable to turn off the jukebox without taking the batteries out.

Came home and installed Rockbox and all is working fine now. Thanks so much for this firmware, without it, I would most likely have returned my unit. You guys are great, all you need to do is manufacture your own unit, then you can challenge the IPOD.

However, I do have one question. Is it normal to see the Archos firmware partially boot up and then be overtaken by Rockbox. That is what is happening to me.

Did I not remove the Archos firmware properly? I can't find it on the harddrive, even using directory snoop. All that I have is the ROckbox firmware ajc file. I opened up the zip file directly into my root drive.

I saw something about renaming the archos firmware, but couldn't find it.

Thanks in advance for your help.
