Before giving up definitely with Archos USB drivers I would suggest
trying to re-install them with their latest offer
Archos USB Installer/Uninstaller for Jukebox Recorders
<http://www.archos.com/download/drivers/TPPINST_5_04.EXE> for Windows.
In my case I have found that it does a
clean and easy job (you need not care about the old drivers, it does it)
and the drivers it installs are definitely not the old set that you
might have found on the Archos CD.

Good luck. Jean B.
