hi,
thanks for the feedback

I tested the sdk on a fresh installed windows-xp box today.
in the tar archives there are 12 symlinks "included" - so you should
have 12 ".lnk" files on your hdd (and 12 symlinks within cygwin) after
untarring.
(please keep in mind, you need native win32 tar)

there seems to be another issue:
the registry - (i.e. the cygmnt.reg) needs some update. i have missed 2
keys, because they were already on my pc (and i missed, that they were added by
cygwin installer)

please add the following lines to that file (or hack into registry directly)
and "reload":

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2\/usr/bin]
"native"="C:\\cygwin/bin"
"flags"=dword:0000000a

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2\/usr/lib]
"native"="C:\\cygwin/lib"
"flags"=dword:0000000a

HTH
regards
roland
