Before I purchased my AJBR20 I looked at the MP3 player reviews on CNet.
Some of the user comments talked about Rockbox, and gave the URL. Then I
joined this list and the archosjukebox6000 list on yahoo, and learned about
Rockbox and the AJBR20 before purchasing. It took me about 3 weeks before I
loaded Rockbox, but I've never looked back. You guys do a fantasic job! It
would be great if more people knew about it, but it didn't take much looking
for me to learn all about it and decide to use it. I think if people do
their homework they can figure it out.

Leslie

As a new jukebox FM recorder owner, I wish I had known about RockBox when I
was shopping for an mp3 player--it would have been a real advantage to
Archos!

The real issue, imho, is how to get the word out. I found RockBox after some
serious searching through google and the yahoo groups. What can be done to
make it easier for people to find RockBox?

I think Archos should consider shouldering some of the burden here as you've
clearly improved on their systems. I'm *never* switching back!

But what can the interested parties of this mailing list do? Chat it up on
Yahoo Groups? Is that the only place to find Archos users? Has anybody
approached archos about collaboration?

I do believe I speak for most of us when I say that we appreciate your help
on this.

The web site is in CVS as well, and so far the site has been "designed" and
setup by pretty much the same guys who write Rockbox, and we are not
designers nor are we very good at targeting "end-users" in the documents and
information on the site.

So, while I agree with you, I'm just not capable of doing this improvement.
