No. I rip to 192kbps and then downsample to 128. Contrary to popular
opinion/myth, I'm perfectly happy with the resulting sound. I haven't bought
a new CD in years so the workload is minimal. Any CD I acquire these days
will be used and perhaps scratched so I use EAC to achieve an error free rip.
This takes forever on a CD with a few scratches so I do the rest with CDex,
mainly because I can run it in batch mode on a whole directory tree at once.

I'm concentrating on old music from the 30s and 40s right now. That means
either finding it on the net or recording from LPs I buy used. In the case of
recording LPs, I record to WAV, process for pops and clicks in CoolEditPro and
normalize, then encode to 192k mp3 and then 128k using CDex in batch mode. In
the case of finding it on the net, I take whatever I can find, downsampling if
necessary to 128k for my Archos.
