I have often desired to have .lnk files, since I mirror my Archos's HD on
my Windows PC, but I agree that they are a waste of resources IF a more
powerful alternative directory structure (including tools) is implemented.
I vote "no" on implementing Microsoft .lnk files.

I agree. This will open up a whole raft of possibilities, solve several
problems, and most likely create some new ones. It should be interesting.
