It's been very quiet on the RedLedDead front lately. Is nobody seeing this problem anymore? Are have you simply given up hope we'll ever get it fixed? ;)
If anyone can reliably repeat the condition, please try this new recorder test firmware:
http://rockbox.haxx.se/test/usleep.ajz
It addresses a possible timing problem in the ata code.
