Especially Microsoft: I can't seem to tell WIndows XP /NOT/ to scan the archos when I plug the USB in (despite a "cool" GUI for doing exactly that, setting what happens when the USB drive is mounted, and despite the fact I keep setting it to "Do Nothing"). Is it possible for the rockbox code to ascertain when the disk is being used by other than the Archos, and to defer its own disk use until the host was done? (Yes, less than optimal, and the more I use the Archos, the more I think of moving to a unix desktop, where'd I'd have command line unmount, FAT disks bigger than 32GB, and an OS that doesn't what to add "helpfile" files to the disk, like the "Recycle Bin". But for now I'll just continue as a cygwin wannabe.) -- Archos FM has a Rockbox!Received on 2003-07-01 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
