Rombox: solution to most safety concerns and other platforms (FM)

Sometimes I'm too blind to see the solution right in front of me...

The past situation:
1) I still want the people to be able to run their individial Rockbox
version from flash without raising a safety issue. So I made this decompressing
dual boot, to have a validated backup always at hand, by pressing F1 on startup.
And I made another plugin that only flashes the second image, not touching
any other part.

2) I didn't have enough confidence yet to the Rockbox code to run
cold-started with every harddisk and every hardware mask out there. Let alone the other
platforms FM and Player, that's completely untested since I have a Recorder.
So I was very nervous about releasing this.

Well now count 1 and 2 together and you get:
My permanent safety copy (the first image) will just be the original
firmware! (Stupid I am, not to see this?) So even if the Rockbox version should be
not yet ready, we can safely iterate by re-flashing another try into the
second image. So it will be feasible to do the other platforms, the only thing I
have to validate is the button-detect code in the bootloader.
Another benefit is that the original firmware is smaller, 111kB for the
recorder. With compression to 58% the flash has a decompressed capacity of about
440kB, so leaving space for a whopping 329kB Rockbox image.

So: expect Rombox for the Recorder to be released today or tomorrow, and the
FM should be no big problem as well. For the Player I'd welcome somebody to
make a suitable user interface for my plugins.

So long,
Jörg
