Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2003 13:00:14 -0400 Exus, I was able to get mine to charge a bit by plugging the USB cable into my computer, but not allowing it to go past the boot. This way, the drive was never mounted by the OS, and therefore never spun up after the initial one. I had to let the FMR "restart" several times before it had enough power to keep itself alive. Perhaps that will help you until you can land a universal type power adapter that will work. -Chuck -----Original Message----- From: owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se] On Behalf Of eXus Sent: Tuesday, July 08, 2003 12:40 PM To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: Re: FM Recorder charger specs & USB problem On Tue, 8 Jul 2003 08:20:39 -0700 (PDT), scott <die_pokemon_die123_at_yahoo.com> wrote: > did you try searching the mailing list archive? i'm sure there's been a > conversation about > replacement chagers before. > > -scott > Thx scott I just tried it, I think I'll try a some chargers (6V or 5V 700mA-1500mA) ... And about the USB problem, any ideas ? I saw Linus had a FM Recorder too, so he's maybe some clues about it... (mean about the way I can handle the USB detection, and if this one is handled by hard or by software...)
