Rockbox mail archiveSubject: More long recording problems with JBR20More long recording problems with JBR20
From: Meirion Williams [e-knowledge] <meirion_at_e-knowledge.net>
Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2003 19:05:25 +0100 I used my Rockbox to do a long recording this weekend and it repeated a problem I've had in the past. The recording process is fine, and I end up with a 600 odd MB file with about 5 hours of audio in. Playing it on the Jukebox is cool, but as soon as I try and use the file on my PC problems arise: Part way through the file winamp with give up and shows the 'red light' in the display and just cannot play any further. If you try to fast forward it nothing happens, same as playing it from the beginning and then trying to jump to somewhere near the end. It has happened on 3 out of 4 long recordings I've done recently. One plays to 34 minutes, another to 40, and another to 100. After that you can't play any more (unless it's on the jukebox). I've tried copying the files off the jukebox on to the computer, playing them straight off the jukebox, different computers (4) - no luck. However, there is one computer that will play them in winamp! The only thing I can find different between all the PCs is this one uses FAT32, all the others are NTFS. 2 questions I could do with some help on... how can I fix these files? And more importantly.. why does Rockbox do this? I want it to stop! Received on 2003-07-08 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
