First, thank you very much for the Rockbox developments.

Second, I've read that various JBRs have been flashed successfully but not
in this case.
I'm using a vanilla Win98se PC
Messages are as follows when the flash is attempted.

Flash: M=BF D=D6
SST39VF020
Size: 256 KB
using file:
/firmware_rec.bin

checked:
File invalid.
Sanity check fail

I am following the steps in the readme but no go.
Am I missing something obvious?

I've downloaded the zip numerous times and scandisked with no reported
problems.
