Date: Wed, 16 Jul 2003 15:23:55 -0400 Thought you guys might be interested in one of Archos' wonderful tech support responses. I pointed the poor soul to the rockbox site and told him that he would probably have much better luck with it. Chris --- Original Message --- Subject: [ARCHOS] Jukebox Recorder stops working after 36 hours or so > I purchased a Jukebox Recorder to be used with our Music On Hold part > of our phone system. The plan was for it to run indefinitely plugged > into an AC adapter and continue to cycle through songs and messages > with the repeat all function. I had initial problems with the jukebox > but business being what it is I hadn't had a chance to get back to it > until now. It's past the 30 day guarantee from my retailer but still > in my 90 Warranty with Archos. I emailed tech support and they > responded asking me to call tech support. I talked to Marpelo and he > said that they don't support it being used 24/7, I said fine then I > just need to do a return and reimburse me the purchase price. He said > he can't do that since it's only supposed to be used as a portable unit > and not plugged into an AC adapter 24/7. > > Needless to say I'm extremely disapointed with Archos for making a > product that works while using the AC adapter but then fails to support > it. Anyone have any suggestions before I get our legal department > involved? The technician suggested that it's not a battery issue but a > buffer error that was the problem, so I can't even open the box up and > provide it w/ my own power. Any information would be helpful. > > > Carl Dewedy Received on 2003-07-16 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
