Hello Folks,

  Mailing list.

It all just flies into the right folder, and if I'm rushed for time
I can ignore you all and re-read anything interesting later.

But more importantly, I remember being on dialup. (Ah, life before
broadband!) A mailing list can be read and have its replies composed
offline. A forum cannot. And as many may also be saving list emails,
they have their own archive they can check before going online.

Just think of the narrowband users! ;-)
