mhh - i suggested this, because i have seen such "splitting" many times in other projects.
I think advanced users could help less advanced users, point them to docs and faqs and playing an "intermediate" role between
"rookies" and "developer geeks" ;) i think users shouldn`t get on developers "nerves" with questions like "which batteries should i
buy". it`s not "that bad" at this time, but as rockbox gets more and more popular, so this possibly will happen more often...

I have made this additional page some time ago:
http://rockbox.my-vserver.de/chat/index.html
perhaps this one could be "merged" somehow to the existing irc pages or being linked.

what about the following "structure":

left navigation bar: replace "irc" with "chat"

on "chat entry page":
- short introduction to irc
- link to logs ("live" one and old ones)
- link to nick-list
- link to irc clients
- link to irc://... url (+description...)
- link to java based chat applet (+description what it is)
- link to cgi based irc client (+description...)
- links to irc documentiation/turorials etc.

comments?
regards
roland
