What does that mean, or specifically, does the Archos > > device qualify? buymusic.com sells (well, "sublicenses") music encoded in WMA (Windows Media Audio) format. Niether Archos nor Rockbox plays this format; to play this format would require replacing or possibilily recoding the decoder chip in the Archos. This would probably require access to copyrighted Microsoft data/formats, and in any case, buymusic's EULA limits playing to "authorized devices", which would require Rockbox making an agreement with buymusic probably precluded by Rockbox's GPL licensing. Take home message: if you want to legally purchase music to play on your Rockbox, check out emusic.com. -- Archos FM has a Rockbox!Received on 2003-07-22 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
