Can you get them to ship it through the US Postal Service? UPS is much
more expensive than USPS for international shipments. One problem you
run into is that when people charge for shipping and handling, they
inflate the handling portion for international shipments. When
shipping outside the US, a person has to get in line at the post
office, talk to some under-paid postal worker that isn't too keen on
the customs paperwork, then fill out the paperwork (you have to make
sure it's right, they don't usually know) and then pay for the
shipment. This entire process can take a very long time. For a
shipment inside the US, a person can do their own postage and then just
drop off the package without waiting in line or dealing with some
incompetent clerk.

I know that I'm not helping much here, but I don't make the rules; I
just try to break them..:)
