This makes me suspect it is a scaling issue. I.e., by default, the size
isn't 100% of the "normal" LCD size. To reduce that problem, I made the
Win32 simulator look like the X11 one (i.e., by removing the bitmap).
However, that part of a patch of mine wasn't included. I didn't look
that much on the real problem at the time though (my main concern was
getting the simulator to build on Win32 again :).

The player version gets worse because of differences in the default size
or zoom (remember the added options for zoom on player and recorder, that
were added when the rocklatin developers did a simulator overhaul, IIRC).
The zoom needs to be something like 500% for the player simulator to look
good. That was another reason to remove the bitmap, btw.

Some printf:s at suitable locations relating to the size could be
enough...

Or just remove the image completely, as mentioned above...
