I was looking around a bit and it seems that the latest is 5.08. Archos has
only 5.07a available for download, but the readme claims "Consolidated
firmware for all JB MP3 Players" for that. Guess that's still in the 5.08, this is
what I need!

If anybody has a Player with 5.08, please send me a dump. (Can be done with
Debug->Dump Firmware or so). I need the larger of the 2 files it generates in
root.

The question for Rockbox then is, how can it tell old and new player apart
then? If 5.08 runs on old players as well, the version is not sufficient to
distinguish. There must be something else, since Archos also seems able to do
it.
