I had the same error yesterday. I got round it by installing the default
"Development Tools" via "Add or Remove Packages" and then managed to compile
rockbox. Hit errors when trying to compile the uisimulator though.

Subject: problem compiling Rockbox

2.11/configure --target=sh-elf --prefix=/home/linus/sh1", I'm getting the
error: "you must set the environment variable cc to a working compiler".
Anyone have any tips? I'm adjusting the paths to my installation and all
(in other words, changing the user name), I've downloaded and installed the
various tar packages (at least, I followed the instructions in that link).
a spankin new Redhat 9, and I'm leaving the GUI to work in a Terminal
If it matters, it's a PIII 450 with 256 megs of RAM.
Thanks for any help.
