The problem is very simple: occasionally my Rockbox reboots after being tilted (not heavily) or pressed. It also reboots (and this is what enrages me most) if I turn it on, and then insert the headphones. After rebooting it starts again, only all output to the screen is mirrored (very funny feature if I could only turn it off). I have to turn it off and on several times to get it fine again. While I do that, sometimes it will turn on (the leds and backlight turn on), but nothing appears on screen, and the keys (besides OFF) are not responding. This symptom too disappears after turning off. And on top of all that, it seems to eat batteries faster than locust eats the crops. Fully charged 1500 mAh original Archos batteries last for about 2 hours, and each time I turn it on, the batteries are emptier. I love this unit, but all these things drive me crazy. I have some experience with soldering, so if needed I can do that... If only I knew what has gone wrong! :) Some data about my unit: Model: Archos Jukebox Recorder 6000 (rather old one, I bought it used) ROM Firmware: 1.17i Rockbox version: 2.0 Received on 2003-08-22 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
