Why do you even try to play files that aren't supported by Archos? And why are
you calling it an mp3 file when it isn't?

Rockbox will attempt to play anything you throw at it, claiming it is mp3. Try
renaming whatever you have as BLABLABLA.mp3 and Rockbox will do its best.

If you rename it to mp3, sure Rockbox will attempt to play it.

This may or may not be a bad decision, but that's how it currently works.
