OK, I get the message. Thanks for all of the pointers, I'm sure to be able to
go from here.

As or the encoding, that is not a problem. Lame --nogap works, as long as you
fix the vbr tags.

It will probably take me a month or so, since I can't devote full time to
this, but I'll let you know when it's done.
