Date: Wed, 10 Sep 2003 09:26:26 +0100 I'm sorry to correct you, but usb 2.0 IS faster than firewire. Firewire has a maximum bandwith of 400 megabits/sec, while usb 2.0 boasts 480 megabits/sec. It's not a big difference, but with the widespread use of usb, i still think usb is a more versatile solution that firewire. -----Original Message----- From: owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se] On Behalf Of Gvillo, Mike Sent: quarta-feira, 10 de Setembro de 2003 1:36 To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: RE: usb2 on the archos I wouldn't worry about it too much. To take the example to the extreme the iPod has firewire which is much faster then USB 2.0 but you only really ever do huge upload/downloads once or twice, making that feature fairly minor. When you do have to do a large transfer, just set it up to go overnight. A usable interface is much more important.
