Date: Tue, 7 Oct 2003 16:31:26 -0400 Go look on Pricegrabber.com, Pricewatch.com, or even shopper.com for current prices. I'm sure there's other places to look, but these sites give price comparisons from a large variety of online stores. Also, don't forget to check eBay. Go with a reputable seller and you might be able to find a good deal. -Chuck -----Original Message----- From: owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se] On Behalf Of Colin Gilchrist Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2003 4:23 AM To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: uh oh HD woes Heya, I've done a really stupid thing and dropped my archos HD (sans archos hardware) while fiddling with it. And now it goes <click> <click> <click> <click> instead of spinning up and reading. Does anyone have a spare HD or know of a good, cheap place to get a laptop HD? I'm only looking for something small, between 5 and 15 Gb or so... cant afford to get anything bigger :-( Also... has anyone ever succeeded in getting data back off a physically damaged drive? Would it be phenomenally expensive to get a data recovery company on the job? Cheers...
