Rockbox mail archiveSubject: Broken F2 KeyBroken F2 Key

Date: Thu, 09 Oct 2003 02:36:15 -0700 I was reading the archives and came across this old message. I had the same issue. I didn't try goop, because I know it's a pliable material - you need something that gets very hard. I used Loctite Plastix - and PLENTY of it. It's a 2-part bonding agent. I basically did more than glue the piece back together, I put globs all around the break to reinforce it. It's held solid for several months now, it feels a bit tight to press, but works fine. But I'm still thinking of modifying the code to switch all F2 functionality to F3 since I rarely use F3 in anything. >> My JBR-FM is only a week old, and the F1 key is already inside the unit. >> I have sent 2 e-mails to Archos support, but they have not yet responded. > > mines a few months old, and that happened to my F2 button the other day (no warrany). i opened it > up to see if i could fix it, but no luck. i tried with Goop, but it didn't work because it didn't > stay hard enough. has anyone had any luck with this? > > -scott Received on 2003-10-09 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
