Linus,

I was wondering this myself. So you're saying that, in the FMR, the
shutdown is always caused by the Archos hardware then? I ask because I've
seen similar behavior, where my battery can be as high as 74% and the FMR
will shut down at the next disk access. Turn the unit back on and it works
fine for another half hour, then shuts down. 'tis a pain, as you might
have guessed. <g>

You seem to assume that Rockbox shuts off the device if it thinks that
the battery level is too low. That is not true. Rockbox doesn't care
about the battery level, it runs until it dies.
