I was trying to imply that the Archos HW is messed up, since the battery level as reported by Rockbox fluctuates so much. In response to the other questions posed thus far, my experience and usage pattern is almost identical to Chuck's, although I am going more towards stand-alone battery use than using while charging because I am going back to school now - in any case, it's just a crapshoot as to how long the unit sustains power before I have to try to reboot. Funny thing is, before this started happening (about 2 weeks ago), I ran it for 11 consecutive hours on long road trips.
