MMJB's volume leveling feature only works for playback through MMJB.
Normalizing with GoldWave or other general purpose audio editors would
require a lossy recompression of the MP3.

MP3 Gain can achieve a permanent, intelligent normalization that works on
any player, but would not allow different equalization like a per-file
config setup on the Archos would.

Do you start to see how this could be useful?
