That's right (well almost always mpeg1 layer 3, occasionally mpeg2 layer 3
or some old or unusual codec), but <mailto:Choi.Minuk_at_verizon.net>Minuk

about demuxing the audio (mpeg 1 or rarely mpeg2 layer 2) part, similar to
some players able to play the wma part in asf movies.

Just demuxing is not that much demanding. Only stress for the hd and the
battery.
