Well, it's not a scientific measurement, just a guess. :)

Yes, it's for resuming music. It's probably closer to 2.5secs.
Definately under three. Too bad I don't have a stopclock handy.

It's with the disk that came with the recorder (Hitachi model, disk info
debug screen says "HITACHI_DK23DA-20".
