Date: Wed, 22 Oct 2003 10:00:04 -0400 I just purchased this player yesterday to see if it was something that was worth keeping. However, I think I will be sticking with my Recorder 20 with Rockbox. I have posted pictures and a zip of the contents of the player when I purchased it at www.linenberg.com/gmini120.zip I opened it up too, and got a list of the chips inside USB chip? -------------------------------------------------------- SMsC USB97C202-MN-03 A0303-AA143 8G1113995A -------------------------------------------------------- 6 of these (pretty small) -------------------------------------------------------- P32A0 CCX245 -------------------------------------------------------- 1 real small -------------------------------------------------------- 3205 81418 -------------------------------------------------------- memory? -------------------------------------------------------- 1S42S16400A-7T X0273400E30247 -------------------------------------------------------- main processor http://www.telechips.com/product/product_mp3_tcc730.htm -------------------------------------------------------- Telechips JCC730Y KF655 A0304 -------------------------------------------------------- Well, about this player... it is a recorder, player, and it has a CF slot on the top of it. However everything is available as an add-on from the archos site (plugins that you purchase) There is an icon driven interface, and you can either play choose, music, browser, photo, recorder, MadPlay, or setup. However, recorder, MadPlay, and photo bring up a screen saying that the plugin is available at www.archos.com (it is not!) This leads me to believe that there may be some sort of SDK? Hmm? I had to UNSOLDER the battery to get at the main board, and I messed the units bumpers up a little putting everything back together. It is a tight package. It uses a standard laptop hard drive, and you can browse the music as in Rockbox, or as a database (somehow you have to rescan the player for database changes -- not sure -- have not messed around with it that much. I do not know much about the player right now, but ask questions and I will gladly answer, or figure it out. -eric Received on 2003-10-22 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
