Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2003 00:56:41 -0000 i KNOW i shouldn't get so pissed off, but time and time again people send unsubscribe requests to the list, and time and time again we all moan, and then we get several over a weekend. what gets into people's heads to think this is acceptable behaviour? i definitely like the forced footers thing, but then it would appear that these people don't actually read any of the posts to the list, therefore ain't gonna see the footers. i think the only way is some kind of filtering at the server. maybe if it includes the word unsubscribe in the subject, the email gets bounced back to them with an explanation why. it DOES seem odd that they're using the right method to unsubscribe. they're not saying "remove me" or whatever. if the majordomo server doesn't allow filtering, what about filtering when it reaches rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se ? perhaps anything with the word unsubscribe in it gets manual attention or something? something needs done, because i get angry enough at people on the net in general enough, and i don't expect to see this level of idiocy in what is a pretty specialist mailing list. perhaps automagically blocking all aol addresses? i jest, of course. as for my tits, if only i had 'em. it's be a great stress relief, i reckon. instead of getting angry at lazy/stupid people, i'd just play with my breasts. and with that, i should probably shut up now. ----- Original Message ----- From: BlueChip To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Sent: Monday, October 27, 2003 12:19 AM Subject: Re: unsubscribe is there any way of banning these numpties from the list? LOL - yeah, how about we get real nasty and strip them of their priviledge to post to the group - you know, interecept the email and unsubscribe them or something - LOL even if this is a joke (i hope so - but it IS an aol addy) it's getting right on my tits. I'm not sure I wanted that image of you ...but now it's there: can you hold a coin stable in your clevage too?
