Do I take it that the Digest is now officially dead?

No updates since 28th August.

I understand that was probably a huge amount of effort involved in
keeping it up, and that time for active developers is a precious thing.
But if it's not going to be updated, should it be removed? Out of date
pages do nothing for the look and feel of the site.

Pity, because I certainly found it useful and would have made the
"What's New since 2.0" document (or chapter in the next release manual)
much easier to compile.
